Inclusion Quality Mark – Centre of Excellence
Over the past two terms, Stockton Wood have been working hard completing the Inclusion Quality Mark framework and collecting evidence in support of us achieving the IQM Award.
In April 2024 an accessor inspected our school, observed our classes, met with teachers, children, parents, governors and other professionals who support inclusion within our school. We were delighted to hear that we achieved the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) and during the assessment the assessor shared that they felt we could be successful in gaining the prestigious title as IQM Centre of Excellence! We applied for this is in May 2024 and were thrilled when we heard that we have been successful!
The Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) provides schools with a nationally recognised framework to guide their inclusion journey. The IQM team help schools evaluate and measure how they are performing; empowering them to improve and grow.
Only 200 UK schools have been awarded IQM Centre of Excellence status. This award recognises those IQM Inclusive Schools which continue to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding levels of inclusive best practice. Centre of Excellence status provides an opportunity to build on current capacity with ongoing support from the IQM team.
Everyone at Stockton Wood is committed to excellence as we continue our commitment to outstanding inclusive practice!
