This week, 5M have been developing their writing skills in French.

“Dans mon trousse j’ai…” Practising saying what he have in our pencil cases in French.

3M have enjoyed learning the names of instruments In French. They have also worked on understanding which article to put in front of the instrument.

3M started their new French topic today – Les Fruites. We learned the French name for some common fruits.

5H researched Bastille Day on the computers and made some PowerPoints with interesting facts and information.

Today we learnt about Bastille Day. We had a French themed lunch and created flags.

Today, Year 4 celebrated Bastille Day by making a flag to commemorate the special day.

Today, we learned about Bastille Day and why it is celebrated in France. We took the opportunity to celebrate some of our French topics, animals and colours. We created a ‘colourful zoo’ by drawing some of the animals we have learned and colouring them in different colours. At lunch time we had the opportunity to taste some delicious French dishes.

Today we learnt about Bastille day and used our prior learning in French to create the ideal pencil case, ready for year 6.

Year 3 learned about Bastille Day yesterday, it is a French holiday which celebrates freedom throughout France. We celebrated the curriculum we have learnt this year and had a special lunch!

This week we have learnt all about the Bastille celebrations! We have had lots of fun learning all about famous French landmarks. We are able to tell you all about why they celebrate Bastille in France and how they celebrate it. We are amazing!
European Day of Languages
For European Day of Languages, we focused on Spain as we have just started learning Spanish. We learned about Flamenco Dancing, practised a few steps of a Flamenco Dance and designed our own Flamenco dancing outfits.

3McK really enjoyed learning some flamenco moves and designing their own flamenco outfits on Friday!

This half term in Spanish, we have learned different greetings, colours and numbers.

We have been learning the names of different animals in Spanish. Year 3 enjoy challenging each other to say the name of the animal they point at.

Today we had some confident French speakers that told us the day and the type of weather in the morning and afternoon. The rest of us had to listen and translate into English.
