10-03-2025

A great start to our science week in year 5 today!

Assembly got us hyped up for a fun week of investigations, followed by a fabulous chat with members of the Knowsley Safari Park team about how to be a Planet Protector!

Later on we investigated camouflage by adapting our moth to blend into its environment for survival.

Science week

13-03-2025

We are enjoying celebrating Science week! We’ve learnt lots of new things…did you know, if you put double cream into a pot and shake, shake, shake and shake some more…it turns into butter!!! We each made our own butter, then spread it on to some crackers to enjoy for snack. Isn’t science amazing 🤩

Aspirations Week

17-06-2025

As part of our aspirations week, Abbie came into school to speak to us about mechanical engineering. She was an inspiration to us all! We enjoyed the building bridges challenge. The bridges that were built by Carter, Jacob, Ana and Sapphire were strong enough to hold 3 to 4 metal spanners! We have some fabulous creative problem solvers in Y6!

Thank you Abbie for coming in to tell us about engineering.
