This morning, we were all a little bit disappointed with the rain, knowing we probably wouldn’t be able to play outside unless the rain stops. So we decided to learn more about the rain, and found the perfect book to help us. Did you know, rain holds a secret? We read a story about a little girl living in a Kenyan village where it hadn’t rained for a very long time. Their food crops were failing, the well was empty, and everyone was starting to worry. The little girl remembered a story her Grandad had told her – she needs to tell the sky all the sad things she feels…and suddenly the sky began to cry ☔️ I asked the children how Lila would feel if she came to visit Liverpool today, and they said she would probably feel happy and would dance in the rain like she did in the story. So that’s exactly what we did 💃 🕺 ☔️
