In Science, 5R have been learning about forces. Today, we made our own parachutes to investigate how the size of a parachute affects air resistance. We created parachutes of different sizes and measured the time they took to reach the ground. We discovered that the greater the surface area of the parachute, the longer it took to fall, due to the increased force of air resistance.
