We used different materials to create our own setting for a story. We used different vocabulary to describe the materials, and then made links with real life experiences. ‘I’ told us “this is the grass, this grass is dry because it hasn’t rained yet. It is green and soft”. We used words such as soft, rough, smooth, dry, wet, cold, warm, hard, tickly…and so many more.
